The chapters and appendices are grouped into five modules totaling 7.5 hours or 0.75 CEUs.
Counseling-Infused Audiologic Care CEU Modules
Module 1: Patient Counseling – Chapters 1, 3, 4 and the Afterword (.2 CEUs)
Module 2: Confronting Hearing Loss – Chapters 2, 5, 9 and 11 (.2 CEUs)
Module 3: The Pediatric Caseload – Chapters 6 and 7 (.1 CEUs) Module
4: The Adult Caseload – Chapters 8 and 10 (.1 CEUs)
Module 5: Communication Management – Chapters 12, 13, and 14 (.15 CEUs)
Registration for the CEU program includes access to all 5 module online assessments. Modules are worth 0.1 to 0.2 CEUs and may be taken together or individually. A certificate documenting CEUs earned will be available for immediate download upon successfully achieving a score of 80% or better on each assessment.
The Counseling-Infused Audiologic Care CEU Program can be used to meet ABA Tier 1 recertification requirements. To earn Tier 1 CEUs a minimum of three hours need to be submitted during the ABA certificant’s three-year cycle.
American Academy of Audiology has approved offering Academy CEUs for this activity. This program is worth a maximum of 0.75 CEUs.
